It took me almost six years but I finally finished college. Now that I have more time on my hands, my goal is to make 2015 as exciting as possible.
I will go to a new place and/or do a new activity every month in 2015.
In January 2013, I transferred to college in New York City and traveling between Stamford, CT and NYC took out a lot of time during my weekdays. The weekends were mostly for homework and projects. Although I did travel throughout the last years, it was impossible for me to venture on a goal of visiting a new place every month. Now that I’m done, I can’t make any more excuses.
For this month the graduation craze didn’t allow me to travel out of Connecticut, but I went hiking for the first time in a part of the state I had never been in. (There will most definitely be a post about this soon.) The trip for next month is all set:
I grew up in the U.S. and it is a shame I have never seen the capitol. The hotel is booked, gas prices are cheap and there is a long weekend smack dab in the middle of February. It is gearing up to be a fun road trip! The trip and activity for each following month will be posted once everything is confirmed.
My question to YOU then is when was the last time you did something for the first time? If you feel like there is nothing to do in your city, you might have to double check. For a long time I felt like there was nothing I could do except for what I did everyday: work, school, gym, sleep. But the opportunities that surround everyone are enough to allow you to do something new or visit a completely different place at least once a month.
I challenge you to do the same.
